The CEO of "Rotana" in Egypt, Saeed Emam, reported that news of Elissa's new album "Asaad Wahda" (Happiest One) ban from Egypt is incorrect.
"Laha" magazine reported from Saeed that the album was delayed due to the time it took to get the permit for distribution in Egypt.
He added that the company did not expect the permit to take that long, but it will be released across Egypt in a matter of hours.
Some internet website reported the album was banned in Egypt due to Elissa not obtaining a certain permit to redistribute late Algerian singer Warda's song "Lawla El Malama" (If it Wasn't for Blame).
The album contains 13 new songs plus the remake of Warda's, and Elissa worked with many notable lyricists and composers such as Nader Abdulla, Salama Ali, Ahmed Marzouk, Tamer Ashour, Mohamed Rahim, Mohamed Yehya and Ziyad Bargi.
