Director Darren Aronofsky chose Hollywood superstar Anthony Hopkins to join the film "Noah" for a main role, and it will showcase the life of Prophet Noah.

The director announced this on his Twitter account and Hopkins will play the role of a man who lived 969 years, as reported by the Bible.

The role of Noah was given to Russell Crowe and Emma Watson is also cast. Filming will begin in July in Iceland and New York

The film has a budget of USD 150 million and will be released in the first part of next year.
