Algerian singer Amel Boushousha is joining a new cast for the series "Zaman Al Raghoth" (Time of Raghoth) as her first Syrian drama.

The director, Ibrahim Ahmed Ibrahim noted to "Al Qabas" magazine that he chose her as she is a new face and he is keen on presenting new talents to avoid boredom.

The series is set between 1919 and 1926 and shows the social fabric in the rural areas in comparison to the Urban settings in Damascus.

The series features many Syrian stars including Saloum Haddad, Ayman Zidan, Sabbah and Jazaeri and Rasheed Assaf.
