Director Steven Spielberg has postponed his next movie "Robopocalypse" indefinitely!

Robopocalypse would have been the director's first expedition into the sci-fi genre since 2005's War Of The Worlds.

The delayed movie was based on an acclaimed novel by Daniel H Wilson, which treats the human race's attempt to survive an attack from its own robots.

The script was not ready, and it was too expensive to produce and now It's back to the drawing board to see what is possible after it was decided to shoot in a few months.

Actors Anne Hathaway and Chris Hemsworth were on board to lead the cast. Thus, Spielberg's next project as director is undecided.

His film Lincoln with Daniel Day-Lewis, is to get Oscar nods in the nominations which are set to be announced later today.
